Babylon Rewatch – Beginning November 2, 2015

We will begin with The Gathering as single episode and then season one. I will do The Gathering and you may sign up to do something for any episode you wish. I think we will post one post for discussion and one for creative things: a fiction, picture, video, and/or recs to other works of any type that pertain to this episode. Have fun!

If you do not have your own B5 set, it is available to rent at Netflix as discs, for purchase at $1.99 an episode at Amazon Prime streaming OR as low as $21.55 for the season on Disc. So the sign-ups are for what exactly? Kicking off discussion with a description of the episode and a personal reaction or what? Inquiring minds want to know.

I'll sign up for multiple episodes if you need it, but it would mostly be personal reaction/discussion leading, at least at first. I'm an excellent provocateur :)

Exactly! Perhaps a little provocation will stir up some discussion. I also thought we might do a second post with recs for fiction, vids etc that might fit that episode OR with a new bit of work for the ep.

Okay, once I finish 'work' today I'll sign up for some eppies. Season 1 I haven't re-watched in quite a while, so I'm quite looking forward to it. I'm attempting NaNo so can't do much in November but feel free to plead if it becomes necessary.

Oh, I would so love to do this! I think I have S1 on DVD, but maybe not The Gathering? Ugh, it's so hard and/or out of my price range to find some of these things!

I must find a way. I discovered this show only about 6-7 years ago and was immediately hooked!

If you are in the US, Amazon streams some of the seasons and movies, Netflix has them available on DVD and sometimes you can buy used copies at Amazon for a decent price... just make sure to get a seller with very good ratings.

Oh, both together in one set! Awesome! I am only working part time these days, so cash is ridiculously low sometimes. But soon as I get paid, I am getting this. I bought S1 some time ago when it was on some crazy sale, but I haven't even opened it yet because I wanted the movies so I could watch in order.

I can probably do more, but it would probably have to be after Christmas since real life (and by extension internet access) is a bit uncertain at the moment.

(this is why I haven't yet signed up for babylon5_love, even though I already have something finished for it)

If you need additional B5 listening/discussion material, there is a podcast called Audio Guide to Babylon 5 (http://b5audioguide.com/). They discuss each of the episodes and actually include an audio break for spoiler discussions, even split out discussion threads, so new lurkers and old can talk about plot points. They're up to "In the Shadow of Z'ha'dum" now.
