And this is the analysis at the Lurker’s Guide to Babylon 5.

This one is the last non-arc episode for a long time.

The Vindrizi are pretty gross and we never see or hear from them again – another interesting throw away. They look a lot like the Goa’uld on Stargate: SG-1 (or do the Goa’uld look like them?). Here is one of the lovely things:

Ivanova is a bitch to Marcus and she is for the rest of his time on the show. Never sure why anyone thinks she loved him. Pretty sure he loved her though.

Marcus and Stephen team up for the first time and they make a lot cuter pair anyway!

I like a man who quotes Shakespeare – period. What can I say?

Oh and here is Marcus with the roses:

1. What were the two (who were probably already Vindrizi) waiting for when the ship came in at the first of the episode?
2. Do you think anyone thought to talk to these guys about the Shadows?
3. Am I the only one annoyed at how Ivanova treats Marcus?
4. Do you like non-arc eps? Why or why not?
5. Did you spot an actress who shows up later as another character? Look behind the cut.

I've always loved Marcus. I probably would absolutely hate to be around him in real life. And he was absolutely right calling Garibaldi out. Marcus is an unabashed romantic who is definitely on his way falling in love with Ivanova but... I get the vibe that Ivanova is hella gay and that Marcus reminds her of someone who harassed her ages ago and didn't take no for an answer.

The Vindrizi remind me more of Tok'ra, but yes, goa'uld.

Corwin is an absolute sweetheart.

There's something compelling about Talia, but mostly for me, it was her voice.
