Rewatch for Season 4, Episode 21 - Rising Star

Sorry these are so late but I was in the hospital several days with a very serious surgery and am just now feeling able to post them. Thanks for your patience. I'll be posting a schedule for Season 5 soon!

Rewatch for Season 4, episode 21 – Rising Star

The acting Earth President tells Sheridan that fi he resigns Earthforce, he and his crew will not be further punished. He takes her up on it. Delenn and the others arrive and she speaks to Earth about the new Alliance that they have built out of the League of Non-aligned worlds and she asks Earth to join in. My favorite part of this on, by far, is the White Star flyover. I love it when the Earth sky is filled with White Stars flying in formation.

We also get Susan and her unrequited love speech. She’s sorry she was an ass to Marcus. We get it. Lennier mentions it to Delenn and she says not all love IS unrequited – probably not a good thing to say.

Sheridan’s dad comes by, Earth joins the Alliance and John and Delenn get married – with G’kar’s eye watching their wedding night.

Oh yeah. Bester comes to see Sheridan and they didn’t use Carolyn in the war.

1. What was your favorite part of this episode?
2. Were you surprised at the Alliance idea?
3. Did it look bad, after all the claims Clark made, to see Sheridan marry a Minbari? Can you imagine the spins on that one?

My "favorite" was in the beginning when the nurse promptly dropped her tray when she saw Marcus and Ivanova. 🙄Like. No. You're a nurse on an interstellar space station in the middle of the war, the only time you drop a tray is if you actually hurl it on an attacker. Nurses have better nerves than that.

Ah. A parallel between Lennier and Marcus. Yes, I think they love/d their queens the same way. Selflessly, devotedly, whole-heartedly. And neither excepts nothing in return.

A good ending for the series, yeah.
