Rewatch for Season 3, Episode 22 - Z'ha'dum

Rewatch for Season 3, episode 22 – Z’ha’dum

Here are your recaps:
Dreamwidth
Livejournal
(And yes, I know I spelled discussion wrong in the title on DW but it won’t let me edit it.)

LOTS and LOTS of stuff at The Lurker’s Guide to Babylon 5

One hell of an ep, wasn’t it?

Anna arrives and we know there’s something off about her from the beginning, don’t we?

And poor Delenn.

And OMG! Michael!

And BOOM!!!!!! Bye, bye, Z’ha’dum!

And this:

*

1. How much of the history from Morden, Anna and Justin was true?
2. Were you surprised at what John did?
3. Does he compare to Gandalf? If not, then who?
4. What was the most unexpected thing in this episode?
5. The Shadows call John a nexus – an unchanging element in the story. How did this happen?
6. Oh and what about the Shadow agent that called Londo home? What was that about?

Such an emotional episode, such a rollercoaster. I recently read the Technomage books for the first time which gave a new perspective on all of this!

How I wish they didn't make Anna as creepy as she is. I mean, it's the style, making the bad guys obvious from the moment we see them but it would've packed such a punch if she didn't give off such crazy vibes. Or perhaps it's just Melissa Gilbert's enthusiasm of acting with her hubby, I don't know. Never liked her, though, so that might affect my take on Anna.

Zero surprise for what John did. And I'm comparing him to Neo on The Matrix.
And I'm sure Justin's recount of the history is correct--from the Shadow's POV. History changes depending on the POV and to them, it's completely accurate and true.

BTW, is there a comprehensive guide of what the Shadows actually are? I tried to look around the Lurker's Guide but I couldn't find anything.
