Another odd thing that stood out was his mooning over 'having a family'. That just seems odd to me; kids? Aside from his fondness for the little boy in Believers, had this ever come up before, and does it again?
In the original plans, wasn't Franklin supposed to have family back on Earth? Or am I thinking about Kyle?
