Rewatch for Season 3, Episode 15 – Interludes and Examinations
The recaps are here:
Dreamwidth
and
Livejournal
And the analysis and JMS” commentary is at The Lurker’s Guide to Babylon 5.
This is a hoppin’ episode.
The non-aligned worlds are sitting around refusing to do anything since they are not being attacked. John decides they need a win and he goes to Kosh – demanding the Vorlons do something. He yells!

Adira is coming and Londo goes nuts… Adira is killed by Morden but Londo believes it was Refa… Guess what happens? One of my favorite scenes in the series, though not in this ep.
Franklin finally goes too far and has to admit his stim problem.
IN retaliation for a Shadow defeat at the hands of the Vorlons, Morden and his pals kill Kosh. Kosh appears to John as his father. John knows.

The non-aligned worlds are now lining up to join in!
Oh and here is the Gaim – named for Neil Gaiman

I was not upset to be done with Adira. I did not like her and thought Londo was an old fool. I also am tired of Morden and will be as glad to see him gone as Vir is!
And in a 6 degrees moment, Sheridan’s dad is Ron Howard’s father and Ron Howard (and his father once) were both in The Andy Griffith Show, starring Andy Griffith. Andy is from the nearby town where we shop, eat, etc. – Mount Airy, North Carolina and Mayberry is based on it.
1. Did you expect the Vorlons to wipe the floor with the Shadows so easily? Why do they need the other worlds?
2. Wouldn’t it have made more sense for Londo to blame Morden?
3. Are Morden’s Shadow friends always with him, do you think? We’ve seen them at least twice with him.
4. Did Londo burn one of his chances?
5. Why does Kosh appear as someone the person he communicating with knows?
