Recap and Discussion 3 x 14 – Ship of Tears

ISN returns but it is simply the voice of Clark now.

Sheridan is out trying out a new Starfury when a distress call comes in from B5 space. It’s a Black Omega Starfury and Bester is inside.

Bester is allowed onboard and he tells Sheridan that there is a Shadow vessel with weapon components in hyperspace and he wants Sheridan to help him catch it. Bester says the Shadows have infiltrated Psi Corps and that Clark is being directed by the Shadows as well. He says telepaths can find ships in hyperspace… that it magnifies their abilities.

G’kar tells Ivanova he wants in.

Sheridan agrees and he takes Bester into hyperspace aboard his White Star.

Delenn tells G’kar that the Grey Council allowed them to be defeated by the Centauri supported by the Shadows because they could not show their hand yet. G;kar tells her he understand but is not yet ready to forgive her.

Once Sheridan and Bester find the ship, the crew commits suicide and another Shadow ship approaches but backs away. Inside they find 100 cryo tubes with telepaths in them. One of them is Bester’s lover Carolyn, a blip he’d fallen in love with. She was pregnant with his child, Franklin tries to thaw and wake her but she is mad,. She gets loose and attaches herself to the wiring in the room. She says to Bester that telepaths interrupt the voices in her head and asks him what have they done to her.

Bester leaves, saying he’ll do anything to help them.

Delenn tells them the war room is ready. G’kar says it is a great day,

Susan says she still doesn’t trust Bester.

Garibaldi is reading the Book of G’Quon and translating it as he goes. He figures out that a thousand years ago, when the Shadows lived on the Narn homeworld is when the Narn telepaths were destroyed by them because they could not live in their presence. They know that telepaths are usable as a weapon against the Shadows.

They get news that the Shadows have openly attacked in Brakiri space.
