I really enjoyed this episode this time through. Forgiveness is very hard.
1. Did it bother you that the mind wipe could be undone so easily?
Not really. I hand-waved it as alien telepaths have varying gifts and strengths and the Centauri ability to pull it off doesn't mean a human telepath could. Also human telepaths are all hobbled by drugs or PsiCorps. Also, too, Brother Edward was on a path of self-discovery and that may have weakened the walls.
2. Why did Franklin not notice Lyta’s gills?
Magic Vorlon Gills!
3. Was Garibaldi’s opposition the mind wipe really any different from Brother Edward’s?
That is an interesting question. I think a lot about Edward's question about being unable to ask for forgiveness without memory, how can one truly repent without understanding? And Theo's response that God knows what is in your heart. It is a condundrum.
4. Why did Londo want to know what Lyta saw at the Vorlon homeworld? Curiosity or something more sinister?
I thought curiosity, but maybe he senses someone else in touch with beings older and more dangerous that they know?
5. Do you believe Lyta’s story?
I did, yes. Although she is so being used by the Vorlons. I don't think we ever get her whole story in the series; what they meant for her to do/be/become.
