Rewatch of Season 4, Episode 3 – The Summoning

Only one link to the recap this week: Dreamwidth

And the analysis and JMS’ comments at The Lurker’s Guide to Babylon 5.

We have another one of those ‘waiting for the other shoe to drop’ episodes. Everything is building and building to a loud, crazy crescendo.

Zach finds Garibaldi. Or is it actually Garibaldi?

Ivanova and Marcus find a buttload of Vorlons hiding in space. (And they’re up to no good, as we find out later.)

The emperor wants a scream. (and Vir wants to kill him now, too)

The non-aligned worlds get sassy with Delenn

AND THEN

I’m Better Now

Which opens up some new cans of worms, but we don’t know that yet.

OH, and Marcus is a virgin. Do whatever you want with that. Sir Galahad, indeed.

1. Was there anyone on the ship that Garibaldi was on?
2. Did you see the look on Lennier’s face when John came back? Foreshadowing?
3. Why was it so important not to scream that he would risk his deal with Londo? He’d been through worse!
4. Did you mouth ‘scream’ along with Londo while G’kar was being whipped
5. Did John seem super creepy when he returned?

I loved Cartagia's indignation on the torturers getting organized. How dare! Pain technicians? Rude!

What a lovely episode, building and building and building...
