Mr. Eilerson's porn made me giggle. Of course Max would have such things but evidently mixed species was a serious curiosity, since everyone seemed to not be able to look away. But then maybe in the pre-internet world, porn was a little harder to come by than now.

I was always glad to see master Bra'tac as the refugee with the data crystals.

It was perhaps a bit preachy but today, art, literature and music are considered disposable and exspensive while our society worships science and technology. That and the far right in the US is cutting everything except military spending and finding ways for the very rich to become even richer. Um, I'm done preaching too now!

Gary Cole is always a little dangerous and menacing in Crusade because I'm never sure where exactly he's coming from. Even when we learn more about him, his character and motives are still a bit murky.

I think that like B5, nothing and no one on Crusade is quite what they seem to be either. Especially Gideon.

This episode reminded me of Star Trek a bit, which is not in itself a bad, thing, but it does highlight how differnt it is from B5. That said, I am glad the hand of jms remained visible in the background, and I am looking forward o watching more of this series on its own merits.

The porn subplot/running joke was good fun and well-directed.
