I saw the pilot quite early on and wasn't impressed...it wasn't shiny like Star Trek: TNG. Then, my mother started watching it regularly when TNT started having afternoon reruns, and I'd come home from school and watch, too. They were rerunning season two or three, and I got hooked...the show had come so far!

I've been lurking in the internet sense around the edges of the fandom ever since. I was in high school at the time.
