If you can, listen to the French audio track for comparison of the following points:
Everyone sounds French, which is funny.
The song G'Kar sings while preparing his dinner is not just a translation of the song he sings in English, but an entirely different song. Anyone know enough French to translate?
The voice actor for G'Kar does not do such a good job being tortured with pain-givers as Andreas. It makes you appreciate Andreas.

It is a translation, just not a very close one. Roughly, he's determined to call his sweetheart to ask how she's doing, to get her flowers as soon as she comes back, how many fishes live in the sea? etc, he'll do anything to win her heart as soon as he's done eating. The German one is much better though! And the actor sings better too.
But since we're talking about the dvds, am I the only one who's *freaked* by the main menu, with the characters morphing into each others? Talia->G'Kar scarred my brain. And I *always* forget it'll happen!
Also, I was very grumpy that they stopped including the German dub on mine. I liked that dub! I first watched the show on Pro7 in German. Half the fun was identifying the voice actors who'd also been on Star Trek.
